Click image to see full size pictureThis tool is designed to help precisely adjust pallet stone length. The pallet fork is held in place on the stainless steel base by means of a spring controlled lever. There are two centerings on the plate to adapt to the diameter of the pallet arbor. The dial is graduated at 0.01 mm. On this new model, the contact zones are made of a synthetic material that is heat resistant (avoids getting burned). The dimensions are 45 x 90 x 27 mm. To use it, the tool is placed on an escapement meter heater (we stock the one with variable temperature). The tool is heated to the point that the shellac holding the pallets jewels softens. Each stone can then be precisely and reproducibly adjusted to the length desired. We also sell nice shellac from Bergeon that's a dream to use.
