EASTMAN LEATHER CLOTHING ORIGINATED 1939 ‘HANHART’ LUFTWAFFE FLEIGERCHRONOGRAPH RE-COMMENCEMENT (REPLICA) SERIAL NUMBER (1900) ‘LIMITED EDITION’ OF 2500 TIMEPIECES WORLDWIDE   This very high quality 1939 pattern Luftwaffe Fleigerchronograph re-commencement (replica) is produced by ‘HANHART’ of which, is one of the original WW2 German manufactures for this product. This particular 1939 pattern Hanhart Luftwaffe Fleigerchronograph re-commencement (replica) was purchased from the prestigious ‘Eastman Leather Clothing’ company of Ivybridge, Devon in December 1998 (believed to be the only official Hanhart UK agent at that time). It is featured in their classic Eastman Leather Clothing ‘Golden Book’ catalogue of the late 1990s (photograph supplied). This particular 1939 Hanhart Fleigerchronograph is in a used, but very good condition, and is in full working order. There is some very, very minor discolouration in connection to the inside of the chronograph leather case i.e. in respect to the chrome plated ‘HANHART’ leather name tag studs (see photos supplied).   This particular chronograph was worn for a period of three years from 1998 through to 2001 and has since been in storage. This rare highly prized example of the Hanhart traditional watchmaker’s skill is accompanied by a small official Hanhart booklet that details relevant information in connection to this quality timepiece. The booklet has the official ‘Eastman Leather Clothing’ rubber stamp mark along with the handwritten date entry in connection to the date of purchase. Viewed from the perspective of a serious collector this 1939 Hanhart Fleigerchronograph re-commencement (replica) is entirely complete, as was when first purchased. This includes the original white cardboard box that housed the Fleigerchronograph in its brown leather case from new. This white box has the same serial number upon it, as that of the 1939 Fleigerchronograph itself (serial number 1900).   In the below is the relevant Hanhart technical data: ·        ETA/Valjoux Kaliber 7760 13¼’’’, modified·        Hand wound·        28.800 vibrations/hour·        17 jewels·        Serial number with certificate·        Fully wound running time of about 42 hours·        Stainless steel case·        Asymetric button distances·        Dual O- ring gaskets on crown and buttons·        Screw on back cover·        Fluted rotating bezel with marking domed sapphire crystal·        Luminous markings on dial and hands·        Water resistant to 10 atm (100 meters)·        Diameter approx. 40 mm·        Height 13.7 mm·        Weight with band 93g A general point of reference in regard to the Hanhart re-commencement of selected wartime chronograph types, in and around the years of 1999 and 2001 approximately: 1.     1939 pattern Fleigerchronograph (WW2 Luftwaffe orientated) a ‘Limited Edition’ of (2,500) timepieces worldwide. 2.     Tachy Tele chronograph (believed to be Kreigsmarine orientated) a ‘Limited Edition’ of (2,500) timepieces worldwide. 3.     1941 pattern Fleigerchrongraph (WW2 Luftwaffe orientated) a ‘Special Limited Edition’ of (300) timepieces worldwide. THE SALE OF THIS ITEM IS SOLELY INTENDED FOR THE (UK) MARKET ONLY, HENCE POSTAGE COSTS STATED ARE PURELY INTENDED FOR INTERNAL (UK) DELIVERY VIA THE, ‘ROYAL MAIL UK SPECIAL DELIVERY GUARANTEED BY 1PM’ SERVICE.
