Up for sale is a VINTAGE 1940s ANGELUS CHRONODATO GOLD FILLED CASE STAINLESS STEEL BACK WITH VERY GOOD ORIGINAL DIAL. The watch is large being 38mm across excluding the crown and 42mm from tip of lug to tip of other lug and 19mm between the lugs. The case is a 3 piece case with a gold filled bezel, gold filled center section and a stainless steel back. The gold filled case has wear to the bezel and center section with wear to the plaiting on the lugs and top of bezel. The gold filled buttons has excessive wear to the tops and backs of buttons. The movement is exceptionally clean, bright with no rust or stains . The correctors all work well and advance DAY, DATE and MONTH. The day and date change every 24 hours but the month has too be advanced manually. The dial is original and in very good condition with a few minor marks but looks great and easy to read. The chronograph works well, top button start and stop and bottom button reset hands to zero. The watch works well and keeps good time and is ready to wear and enjoy.
