Enicar Sherpa Guide GMT Automatic Diver Watch with Sweep Center Seconds Ref. 166-35-04 Amazing Condition. Watches in this condition impassable to find.The ENICAR WATCH COMPANY was founded around 1913 in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland by the watchmaker Ariste Racine (Enicar being his surname name spelled backwards). The company did not stay long in the Jura uplands and by the mid twenties the firm had settled its headquarters in Lengnau close to Bienne. Here Racine specialized in producing sports watches under the brand names Longeau, Alprosa and eventually Enicar. In May 1956 Enicar became involved in the Swiss Himalayas expedition to climb Everest and supplied watches to all members of the team and baptizes this model with the name Sherpa.In-house developed Enicar 166 movement. The outer bezel shows worldwide cities and the red index can be rotated 360° to keep track of any of the cities featured.
