Description

Bid is for the G Gordon, London fusee pocket watch shown in the photos.  I would estimate this watch at about 1750 - 1770. It has just been completely serviced and is running well. The service included a complete teardown, cleaning of the individual parts, reassembly and lube. The painted dial is perfect and shows two sailing ships with several longboats in a harbor with a building flying a flag. The outer case has a watch paper from Geo W McCalla, Watchmaker at 38 Market Street in Harrisburg, Pa. The repousee case has two ladies playing musical instruments for a gentleman. It is in great shape but does show some wear on the high points of the repousee. It has a bulls-eye crystal. There is no hall-marking in the case. It's hard to come by a watch this old in this condition. I will provide a key but it is modern and not original to this watch. I will ship this insured Priority Mail. I try to give honest and accurate descriptions of the items I sell. However, I am not an expert so please look at the photos carefully to be sure you know what you are bidding on.
