EXTREMELY RARE AND COLLECTABLE VINTAGE MEN'S 60s FAVRE-LEUBA DEEP BLUE ALL STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC PROFESSIONAL DIVER'S WATCHNEAR MINT ALL ORIGINAL DIAL, VERY GOOD CASE, EXCELLENT MOVEMENT RUNNING PERFECTLY. A very sought-after Favre-Leuba Deep Blue professional diver's watch dating from the 1960s. in excellent overall condition very hard to find like this.This Favre-Leuba Deep Blue is a stunningly attractive, historically significant watch in excellent original condition and recently serviced.
The dark metallic grey dial is in excellent condition, original luminous markers excellent, and everything looking fresh and bright. Never refinished or messed with in any way. The hands are original and also excellent with all lume intact. The acrylic crystal is good condition with only the lightest surface marks and no cracks, chips or crazing. The bezel is also excellent with no cracks or on the outer bezel ring. Watch has small scratch on the baker-lite insert at the 43 minute mark see photos), bezel has nice crisp undamaged knurling. The uni-directional ratchet operates correctly and it moves smoothly. The solid stainless steel case is very good. It has some light marks and has had some light polishing in the past but is still crisp with good lines (not polished out to a blob). The back is excellent with all writing and logos crisp and legible and no significant wear or smoothing of the details. It threads and secures correctly and there is no corrosion at the closure or anywhere else on the case. As well as a serial number these Favre Leuba dive watches have a manufacture number this watch is number (B 198) see photo.The high quality micro-adjustable FL1152 21 jewel movement looks pretty much as bright and fresh as new with no visible corrosion or loss of finish. No rotor rattle, sets smoothly and winds nicely by crown or rotor. Runs perfectly, date changes correctly and keep good time. The original branded screw-down crown is in very good condition and threads and secures correctly. Band is a top quality Zulu-diver NATO strap which will fit a very large wrist.
An extremely rare and collectable watch in excellent original condition, ready to enjoy. It will be very hard to find another in this condition as the handful left are tightly held by collectors.
