Beautiful lady pocket watch in golden case from first half of XIX, 1820-1840s.
Almost certainly work of the Geneva masters - typical Genevan slim movement of high quality, beautifully elaborated case.
Very delicate enamel painting - Genevan enameling school is one of the world best.Watch is in good condition.
The enamel dial has common minor defects near the screws that fixes it.
Movement is in running condition.
Original glass and hands.
Painted medallion seems to be in good condition without significant damages.
Enamel ornament surrounding the medallion has some minor losses, please see photos.Case made of gold, I'm unsure of it's purity, most probable 18k, usual for such high quality works.
The watch isn't hallmarked, as Switzerland accepted official hallmarking system only in 1880.Diameter of the watch 37mm, height without bow is 43mm, weight is 29 grams.I'm joining it's key that bears French 18k hallmark (eagle head) - it's weight is 4.9 grams.
The scrap metal of the key value only is about $150 today..
