Up for your consideration is a Ball Waltham 16 size 19 jewel hunting case railroad pocket watch. This watch is complete in its original yellow gold filled Keystone marked Ball Model hunting case. The back covers open correctly to 90°, and hinges are tight. The front cover springs open correctly, however, it does open maybe 10 to 12° past 90°. The crown show some wear but is still Sharp to the touch and winds the watch properly. The antique bow is good it shows a little wear and is tight it stays where you put it. The porcelain dial faces up well but has one hairline from the center post to the outer chapter at the 1 o'clock position. The complete set of wine colored original hands hour minute and second are present and in good condition. The movement is marked Ball Watch Co. Cleveland O., 19 jewels, The serial number B202553. The movement also has the gold RR seal and is marked trademark official railroad standard. The words sapphire pallets are marked under the balance wheel. The movement shows up nicely, but has a scratch on the Trainbridge between the second and third wheels that extends all the way to the case screw. There is also a small rust spot on the ratchet wheel. The movement runs with good motion and does keep time, however, you might want to have this watch cleaned oiled and adjusted before you wear it for any length of time. This is a rare watch in very nice condition cased in its original Ball marked case. You will truly be satisfied with this piece! You won't find another one on eBay for a long time.
