I am please to offer from my private collection this important historical 18k gold&enamel Movado observatory approved chronometer pocket watch,awarded personally by the Chinese Chairman Mao to the Bulgarian Communist Party leader and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Anton Yugov.
(Anton Tanev Yugov (28 August 1904 – 6 July 1991) was a leading member of the (BCP) served as of the country from 1956 to 1962).
The watch has been awarded to Anton Yugov when he visited China with the big Bulgarian delegation in 1958. The watch comes from his family estate,and also it comes with the original archive of Mr.Yugov including a very important and unique original CDV photo of the Chairman Mao, Mr.Yugov( left side next to Mao),and the Bulgarian delegation ,also and Chinese Foreign Minister Zhou EnLay.
This original photo is really priceless,because it is from the personal archive of Mr Yugov.Even in the Bulgarian museum there is no such a photo! The watch also comes with an invitation paper in Chinese(probably invitation for a diner or official meating).It is a very very important archive documents with significant historical value!The watch is an UNIQUE MASTERPIECE! The watch is preserved in MINT MUSEUM condition! On the rear case is depicted a hand engraved portrait of Chairman Mao.Above are depicted chinese characters with red enamel meaning "Eternal friendship" between both countries(in chinese pinyin:yong heng de you yi) A1 grade hand finished and hand polished chronometer movement,decorated with the Geneve Cotes,Breguet spiral,bymetalic compensating balance wheel with gold weights,precision swan neck micrometric regulator,gold train,ruby endstone on balance,3 Chatons(rubys mounted in gold settings),2 addjustments(observatory tested to 2 positions) Perfect working order-keeping exact time!Amazing silver tone dial with solid gold hands and gold numbers. 45mm in diameter,60g heavy.(the gold content of the case alone without the movement is exact 31.5g in 18k!)
