Item: 18S 14K 4 Color Gold Box Hinge Hunter Stag Case Elgin B.W Raymond Pocket WatchA Rare c. 1903 Solid 14K Gold Railroad Grade Hunter
Condition Movement: A running watch. Sets properly by lever. Minor tool marks, but no deep scratches or surface oxidization. Movement sits tight within case.Dial: Beautiful fancy "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co." with applied gold embellishments. No touch up, restoration or loss of applique. One light surface hairline at 7 o'clock. Case: A stunning solid 14K four color gold box-hinge case featuring raised decoration including a stag on one side and an engraved cartouche on the other. Initials currently fill the cartouche, but these can be easily removed if the new owner chooses. The case is all 14K solid gold with the exception of the bow and crown. The dust cover is also marked 14K. There are a few small dents to the front and rear covers, but they are difficult to notice due to the heavily decorated, high relief case. The front and rear covers snap tight and the front spring functions properly. Hands: Thicker blued steel railroad type hands. No oxidization or bending. Matching in tone.
