Item Description: One gently preowned Portescap automatic UltraSonic watch cleaning machine in very nice condition. The VC-10 is a mobile plexiglass unit on casters. Four recesses holding storage glasses of cleaning or rinsing liquids can be seen in the base of the machine. This fully automatic VC-10 cleaning machine is used for cleaning watch movements by a vibratory process.
During cleaning, the high quality steel cleaning chamber is under partial vacuum which is induced by a diaphragm pump.
The individual liquids for cleaning or rinsing are all sucked up into the cleaning chamber from the storage glasses under partial vacuum.The amount of liquid in the storage glass is such that only part of it is sucked into the cleaning chamber, the other part remains in the storage glass. Dirt from previous cleaning operations will settle at the bottom of the storage glass and is not sucked up for a new cleaning process by the suction tube, as the tube does not extend to the bottom of the storage glass.
Once the cleaning and rinsing processes are completed, a strip heater is energized and the watch movements are spun completely dry. Brand: Portescap Model: VC-10 Accessories Supplied: 1 - Work container cover, 4 - Glass jars (2000 ML) with cover and fill tube, 1 - Movement holder. A link to the operating instructions for the V-10 cleaning machine will be provided to buyer which can be printed at their discretion. This ultrasonic cleaning machine is in very good working condition. The video demonstrates the first cycle pulling the cleaning liquid up into the cleaning chamber, quietly and efficiently. The process is repeated three times. finally, the disc valve actuates the micro switch for the heating element. Drying now takes place at high speed. Once completed, the cover can be removed and the movement holder removed from the vibratory drive at the bottom of the chamber. This machine uses only anhydrous, waterless solutions.
