This watch, similar to a large size vintage Patek, has been seen by experts and they believe it to be a one off factory prototype.  In 1937, the Zodiac 8 day watch was introduced.  They are hard to find and usually, only the movements turn up.  The regular 8 day movement had 8 day and the numeral 3 ADJTS stamped into the back plate.  This movement does not have 8 day stamped on the back plate and is a 2 adjustment. The factory stamped case fitted to this  specific movement, has a solid strap bar, not the typical spring bar, and machined side designs normally found on watches from the the 1920's or early 1930's not on a watch from 1937.  Those are the reasons for the prototype attribution.  The silverplated watch has its original case, dial, hands and movement which is in good running condition.  The dial shows wear consistent with age and has raised silvered numerals.  Below the 12 is printed: Zodiac.  Below that: Locle & Geneve.  Above the 6 is printed 8 days.  At the bottom is stamped: Swiss. The dial is approximately 1 2/16 in long x 12/16 in. wide. The hinged case is in good condition with some faintly noticeable miniscule dings on the left side bottom plate.  The case including the strap bars is 1 11/16 in. long x 1 in. wide x approximately 6/16 in. high.  Inside the case is stamped: Zodiac Watch FY and below that: Swiss.  The large movement is stamped on the back plate: Zodiac Watch FY.  Below that: Swiss.  Below that:  17 Seventeen Jewel.  Below that: Two 2 ADJTS There is also the Advance/Retard lever. On the left on the letter Z is stamped 1769. Any distortion in the crystal of the watch is due to camera flash. The leather strap is not original to the watch.
