Up for sale is a very beautiful and very rare Pre Civil War E. Howard series II 18s key wind pocket watch made in 1860, right before the Civil War began. This is a fantastic looking movement! Movement: This watch is running good and keeping ok time ( runs a little slow)! The movement is a very beautiful series II key wind with a 15 jewel movement, beautiful jewels, the original balance wheel, and a beautiful gilt movement. This movement looks amazing!!! This movement is all original and even has the original screws. Dial: The original dial is in good condition. The dial has a small chip repair at the seconds. Case: The made for Howard coin silver case is in very nice condition. This case looks like it was used very little. This case has a ok lift spring and great hinges. The watch has a very nice glass crystal. The covers close as they should. This is a very nice case! I don't think this case is original to this movement but it is a made for Howard case ( probably from a series III) and it is correct for this movement. This watch is ready for display or carry!
