Item Description
For sale is my Glycine Airman Double 24 09, Reference 3886, limited to just 300 units. This is a purist 24-hour watch, and has the ability to track four independent 24-hour time zones at once. The 44mm-wide highly-polished steel case has subtly curved sides, almost reminiscent of a pocket watch; however, the watch also sports the classic Airman brushed bi-directional bezel and three signed screw-down crowns. This particular version has the orange 24-hour scale and matching 24/22mm orange strap, with Glycine’s version of a screw-in Panerai Pre-V style buckle. The watch comes with everything that was originally in the box when new, including a black leather strap with a 22mm signed brushed thumbnail tang buckle, and a signed screwdriver. Additional is an spare OEM orange strap and buckle, and a 24/24mm tan Heroic18 alligator-print calf strap with an OfficalTime 24mm polished thumbnail buckle, which gives access to the myriad 24/24mm straps in the marketplace courtesy of the popularity of Panerai watches. I have owned this watch since early-2010, and it has been lightly used. Based on the TimeZone rating system, I would rate this watch mint to near mint, with only a few swirls and light scratches here and there on the case, bezel, crowns and lugs. The crystal and dial and everything inside the watch that is visible are perfect. The original orange strap is like new on the outside and has no discernible discolouration on the inside, and the attached buckle is near mint. The black and spare orange straps, including attached buckles, are unused. The Heroic18 strap and OfficialTime buckle have been worn the most, but are still in very good condition. I have no doubt that someone thinking of buying a new watch would not be disappointed with this, particularly since this watch is very hard to find. If the watch goes for
