OWC has made their entrance into the world of vintage inspired dive watches. This particular new model from OWC is inspired by a very famous military issued dive watch from the 1960's which is known by its model number , ref. 5517. This design is often referred to as a MilSub which is the name OWC has also chosen for this model.
Some dive watch enthusiasts consider the original ref. 5517 to be THE ultimate dive watch design due to its legibility and form following function.
The OWC takes this legendary design and infuses it with modern advances in technology such as a ceramic and Luminous insert for the stainless steel bezel and a very desirable swiss made Soprod A-10 mechanical automatic movement.
Added to this package are vintage look lume treatment on the dial markers and hands as well as a nice beefy 7.0 mm crown with a stainless steel bracelet which can be completely dissassembled with torx screw attachements and you have a near perfect dive watch for today.
