Marked 18K Gold Invar Pocket Watch.
I am not sure of the year this was made it. but appears very old and has what I believe are someone's initials OA on the front cover it also has 2 small digs on the front cover and is missing the glass covering the hands but I am not 100% sure if it ever hand one.
We tested the center housing, front cover, the back cover and the inner cover and they are at least 14K solid gold since that is the highest ability I have to test, but the covers are marked 18K.
The Handle where a chain would connect to is not gold. and the little wind up part is not gold. see picture below, I don't know if this is the way they made the watch or if it was repaired this way.
This watch will need some TLC
and cleaning and maybe a small amount of work
It does tell time and needs to be wound up daily, and needs to be cleaned as it appears that it sometimes stops and needs to tap the second hand to get it going again.
I was going to melt this down for the gold value but decided against it.
