Up for auction is a vintage, all original Glycine Airman SST -with the 'pumpkin' face. The watch was recently serviced and keeps excellent time. The two-tone (dark/light grey) dial is bright and all white and black numerals are sharp and crisp. Hands are straight and good- with only a little patina/colring on the minute hand luminescence. The inside, movable orange 24hr/time zone bezel is bright with no fading. Band is original and in excellent condition. My father was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam -and on his trip home, he purchased this watch as a reward for making it out. Rarely wore it, thus its incredible condition for being almost 50 years old.Found this excellent write up on it:(but ebay doesnt allow links... so search "bloomberg, supersonic, and watch" and it will pop up -sorry)Handsome watch. In a room flooded with black and white submariners and panerais... stand out with a timepiece that is more complicated, has some cool color, and has more soul than just another "watch".Pictures should tell the rest of the story, but if you have any questions, please ask.
