From my personal collection and for your consideration, we offer this newly serviced Dubey & Schaldenbrand Sonnerie GMT with alarm and date worn only a handful of times and is in near mint plus condition and has spent the majority of its life in my safe, not on a winder or worn daily. This in itself assures its new owner of the minimal wear to the bracelet and movement, saving its new owner a major service sooner than later. (Note in the photos how tight the bracelet is, indicative of the above. This watch is free of nicks, dings, scratches, and stretch to the bracelet and has recently been fully serviced and tested for accuracy by our watchmaker.) This beautifully executed stainless steel gents watch has a black dial with white Arabic numerals. Featuring three of the most important complications available in modern watchmaking: Date at 3:00, a GMT window or second time zone at 6:00, as well as an alarm, this watch is extremely hard to find with especially on a factory (OEM) bracelet. Unlike the Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox, which most have an automatic movement, yet always requires manual winding of the alarm barrel. This double barreled Girard Perregaux Cal. 59 movement is fully automatic, in short the oscillating weighted rotor while moving one direction winds the movement barrel and the other direction winds the alarm barrel, a truly fully automatic mechanical alarm watch. Being an alarm aficionado, I have hundreds of high end mechanical alarm clocks and watches. This outstanding, substantial Dubey & Schaldenbrand Sonnerie is a must-have for alarm collector and especially the frequent traveler who desires a fine precision Swiss watch. While its understated nature is apparent only to the owner and serious watch collectors. A true classic art deco design flaunting understated elegance combined with the practicality and functions any frequent jet set traveler desires. (While occasionally available with a white dial and one of two straps of sorts, this scarce black dial version on a stainless steel bracelet is the only one available for sale at time of this listing.) Note: the Sonnerie is also one of the most sought after of all Dubey & Shaldenbrand models. Personal note: Amongst the many watches I have owned and collected, this Sonnerie is by far one of the most comfortable large watches you can wear. You can run the finest silk shirt sleeve repeatedly over and off the bracelet and case without a catch to the silk or a pull of the hair of your wrist, a truly amazing design.
