EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND TRUE 1967 FIRST YEAR MODEL OF THE ICONIC DOXA SUB 300T PROFESSIONAL DIVER WATCH. The dial is amazing and so is the bezel.ORIGINAL ORANGE DIAL (NOT REFINISHED) IN AMAZING CONDITION WITH ONLY THE SLIGHTEST PATINA WHEN VIEWED AT A CERTAIN ANGLE AND LIGHT SOURCE. AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT. LARGE WATCH (42MM DIAMETER, 44 MM LENGTH, 20MM LUG WIDTH.The original Doxa Sub 300T professional was only made for one year and then Doxa was absorbed in 1968 into the Synchron watch company along with several other brands as a protectionist move against the quartz watch revolution.The bezel retains almost all of the original colored markings, the case is nice and crisp, the Doxa sailing ship logo is nice and crisp and the crown is also original and properly signed Doxa. The automatic movement is also original to this watch and properly signed along with the interior case back.In summary - this is the real deal 1967 Doxa Sub 300T Professional. Almost all of the vintage Doxa sub watches are marked Synchron. I expect that the case back was lightly polished at some point in time yet the reference number and serial number is still visible on the case back. The reference number is 11899-4 and the watch's unique serial number is 6752078. There are at least two watchmaker service marks from the early 1970s on the interior case back. It is also possible that the hands were re-lumed long ago (unsure). However, the lume on the dial markers is 100% original and the dial markers all glow evenly with each other. The hands glow brighter than the hour markers which is why I am hedging on the hand lume.The watch was just serviced and keeps excellent time. Fitted with an authentic Doxa diving strap and tang buckle. The strap and buckle are modern and not vintage.In summary, this is a wonderful vintage diver watch that is very difficult to find in any condition and almost impossible to find in outstanding condition.Please watch the video PLEASE EXPLORE MY OTHER LISTINGS.
