This is an absolutely beautiful antique 18K Yellow Gold Key Wind American Watch Co. Pocket Watch (ca. 1865), with 14K Gold Filled Fob/Chain and Key. The pocket watch is marked 18K and weighs 72.4 grams. The fob is marked 14K gold filled and weighs 14.9 grams. The watch measure 64mm in diameter and is a size 10 or 12. The dial is marked "American Watch Co.". The mechanism is marked "P. S. Barlett Watchman Mass, 1865 Foggs Safety Pinion Pat. Feb. 14th, Fast Slow, 312137". Inside the back cover is marked "A.W. Co., 27732, 18K". It has three outside covers. The outside of the top cover has a figure of a dogs and a horn. The back side of the inside cover is inscribed with what appear to be initials but they are difficult to read. The inside of the inside cover is marked "27732". It has been recently professionally serviced, cleaned, and oiled. This pocket watch appears to be in like new condition cosmetically with very little use and is absolutely beautiful and is much more stunning than the pictures. The dial appear to be in excellent condition. The watch is in excellent running condition and keeps accurate time. Please see photos to help determine condition.
