Ultra Rare Mobilis TOURBILLION Pocket Watch by Couvoisier Freres c1910This is a Swiss pocket watch made and patented by Couvoisier Freres circa 1910. This watch has a visible Tourbillion carriage and takes one minute exactly to do one revolution.The watch has been cleaned and serviced. However the watch does have some damaged teeth under the movement plate. When winding you can hear a grating noise as the teeth bounce against each other and miss. However by applying pressure to the watch you can successfully wind the watch and the watch keeps time to around 5-10 minutes a day.movement – because the balance is inverted, all you see when you open the back is the movement plate and winding wheels.The movement has approx 13 jewels.The plate, is signed “U.S. Pat. appl. for D.R. G M. Pat. N. 7888/1905, Brevettato R.A.208.N.232, BTÈS.G.D.G. 30754, Mobilis” # 104044. The plate is in 70% mint condition – some small marks on the plate and spotting on the winding wheels, plus the damaged teeth.case – the movement comes in a silver case marked .800. The case has a hinged back and snap on bezel.The case is decorated with engine turning and is in 80% mint condition – light wear and teardial – the silvered metal dial has a visible Tourbillion carriage with an engraved balance bridge. The tour billion has a 1 minute revolution with a curved regulator and a club tooth escape wheel and a lever escapement.The dial is in 70% mint condition – many light marks on the dial plus the back of the dial under the tour billion carriage is stainedThe watch measures 53mm wide x 17mm deepThe watch is stem wound / stem setThe watch has a plastic glass Check out my other items !
