The watch has been recently serviced but not to water resistant standard as this would have been expensive on a watch this age..it's well documented that vintage watches should never be taken as truly water resistant!This is a highly sort-after piece with such impressive history in horology since its production in 1960's...since 2002 Alpina Watch Co. is now owned by Frederique Constant and have recently relaunched this classic diver watch as "Alpina Seastrong Heritage" rrp. £1300 new. Although it was received positively, many enthusiasts prefer the old classic design thus making them even more desirable with good examples naturally fetching more than the latest model. Having both these watches under one prestigious collection is the ultimate goal and an investment you'll be proud of!
