Movement is labelled, possibly hand-carved, "Samuel Brothers, White Castle Street, Liverpool" - London (coincides with hallmark on case).Year: 1820 (based on hallmark on case); low four-digit serial number supports this.Movement: Key-wind, key set (front), lever escapement Fusee movement. Rear balance wheel jewel is a diamond (tested with a jeweler's diamond tester). SN: 1212.Dial: Original with minor hairline cracks due to age.Hands: Original.Case: Original exhibition case, with original movement cover; Sterling Silver (based on hallmark).Status: In working order, but may need some regular cleaning. Winds perfectly (user is advised not to wind it too tightly). Key fits exactly onto the key pegs.Notes:Comes with original key and silver chain; may pass as a museum piece.
