For your consideration is a remarkable Ebel Chronograph from the 1950’s. Description: Very rare early chronograph. Switzerland, circa 1950. The watch uses a Lemania calibre CH27 movement, featuring 17 jewels, monometallic screw balance, Breguet hairspring, Incabloc. Chronograph: 60s, 30min, pillar wheel The Lemania CH27 movement is the predecessor to the Lemania 321 movement that housed the famed omega moonwatch and later the 861 caliber. This caliber of CH27 spearheaded the entire famed movement that is still being used today in a varied form by Omega. Serial number is 262328 Watch is fully functional. Chronograph functions work fine. The chronograph functions perfectly with the second hand resetting precisely to zero as well as the minute hand. The top button starts the chronograph, pressing the bottom one stops it and then pressing the bottom one again resets it. Normal age related wear is present. Movement is clean but service history is unknown. Diameter is 35mm without crown or pushers. It is 42mm lug to lug and lug spacing is 18mm. Watch is fully functional but long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. This is a large watch for its time and it sits really well on the wrist. It is a great wearable size unlike many 1940's-1950’s watches. This watch will only appreciate in value in the current market, where good quality early chronographs have become really sought after. Bid with confidence. Guaranteed genuine or I will refund your money. World Wide Shipping from Hungary. Please understand that I will only ship this watch expedited and insured. Hence the high cost of shipping.
