PLEASE NOTE THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE POCKET WATCH ONLY.Offered now is one of the most under appreciated antique pocket watches made by The Hamilton Watch Co. The grade 994 pocket watch is not seen or come up for sale on the internet. There were a total of 1101 grade 994s made from 1913-1920,of this total only 800 were lever set leaving 301 pendent set watches. This particular watch is pendent set, housed in an heavy 14Kt yellow gold case, accompanied with a 9kt two color (pink and yellow) gold chain with 14kt gold Elk tooth fob and 14kt diamond and garnet drop.Made in 1914 in the first run of pendent set watches, while over 100+ years of age this timepiece has survived wonderfully. The dial is correct for that period as well as the blues steel hands. The dial is porcelain double sunk with only a small blemish at the 5 minute mark. The case is also in excellent condition showing small nicks over time and the engine turning on the back of case is 90%.There are no other case screw marks on the case suggesting the case is original to the movement. The movement is AWESOME with just the slightest signs of screw drivers markings. The chain is in great condition along with the BPOE fob and the diamond and garnet drop (.5ct).The vast majority of this grade 994 are in private collections, It is estimated that the watch cased at factory (of which this is one) only 10% were solid gold cased while 90% were gold filled. As time goes on more of these beauty will surface but so will there Please serious bidders only, close offer entertained.
