Authentic, men's U-BOAT Thousands of Feet mechanical (hand winding) watch #963. Features 50mm casing, swiss movement, 17 jewels, ETA 6497-2, water resistant to 100 meters, 26mm lug, black dial with orange markers / numerals. includes original box, hard case, tissue paper, and manual. The plastic warranty card is lost. Includes 1 x U-Boat black strap with U-Boat buckle, 1 x authentic python snakeskin strap with large 26mm aftermarket buckle, 1 x black exotic (possibly toad skin?) strap with aftermarket deployment clasp. Retail was $4,800.00 not including the 2 additional exotic strap sets. U-Boat is Made in Italy (Swiss movement).
Description of watch condition: There is a small scratch on the rim of the bezel between the 11 & 12 o'clock positions. There is a very tiny scratch on the rim of the bezel at the 3 second mark in between the 2 & 3 o'clock positions. With exception of these 2 minor issues the watch is very clean and in all honesty looks brand new on the wrist; even with these aforementioned minor scratches. The crystal front and back, and the rest of the entire watch looks beautiful and brand new. Everything works as it should. Description of included watch strap sets: 1. Includes one original black U-Boat strap set with original U-Boat buckle.
2. Includes one custom made python snakeskin 26mm strap (shown installed on watch) with a brand new oversize 26mm buckle. 3. Includes a custom made exotic black strap (looks like possibly toad skin) with white stitching, comes with an aftermarket deployment clasp. This particular strap starts off as 26mm and flows into about 25mm size. It is about same width as the original U-Boat strap but a tad narrower than the python strap. Important Note: The straps are high quality and all in excellent condition. The 2 exotic straps are smaller (approx 1" inch less in total) versus the OEM U-Boat strap which is their standard size. The prior owner obviously had a smaller wrist and used the deployment clasp which leaves even less useable room regarding the exotic straps. Even with the large 26mm buckle on the python strap I can only wear it using the last hole in the strap. (For reference I wear jewelry bracelets 8.5-9" inches size.) Basically if you have large wrists the exotic straps may be too short for you. I want to disclose this so everyone knows exactly what your getting. The exotic straps would easily be in range of $150-$250 each to have custom made and your getting 2 sets which you could part out if necessary and make some descent money back.
