I am no expert in pendant watches. I purchase them based on overall condition and their aesthetic appeal. Therefore, please research for yourself any desired information regarding the mechanics of these watches. I will certainly accommodate any request I can to aid an interested buyer. What I do know about this watch is that it is extraordinarily clean and pristine as far as the movement and mechanics are concerned. It's in good working order but I cannot attest to its degree of accuracy as it is 150 years old. I had it evaluated by a watch smith And he was impressed with its overall condition. He stated that he thought it was a Swiss made watch and that whoever owned it had taken extreme care to prevent its exposure to environmental forces as it was extremely clean -almost new looking mechanically. In the case photo you can see the AW Hallmark as well as the squirrel stamped in gold. It is 14 karat gold adorned with 10 rose cut diamonds on a fleur-de-lys. The bright green enamel is in excellent condition. The watch database lists it production date as Nouv-Dec 1876 in a run quanty of 300. It is a 10s 11j openface adjusted pendant watch. A Wm Ellery Waltham. SWISS is stamped on the edge of the inner workings and some of the watches listed as 10s were 12s and Swiss contract was noted in the database.
