I am please to offer from my private collection the The most important 1936 Olympic Games Football Referee's pocket watch with a stop watch function, made by Excelsior Park watch company.
This is the most important Olympic related pocket watch that I have ever had.
It has been used by the main Referee Dr Peco Bauwens on the final match between Italy and Austria.
Italy overcame Austria in a match refereed by .The watch is a very special (please note that this is not a ordinary stop watch, but a high end accurate pocket watch, specially created for the football referees). The watch has a single minutes hand and special dial with indications up to 45m. On the watch case there is a special plunger which allow the referee to stop the game  and then to continue the game from the time where it was stoped.
The watch has a high grade movement, ruby endstone on balance, precision regulator, hand engraved balance cock, big Guillaume bymetal balance wheel with gold weights, gold train,Breguet spiral.
Perfect working order.
On the rear case there is an enamel Olympic logo. The watch comes from the family estate of Dr Bauwens.
