I am please to offer from my private collection the most important historical pocket watch:
The ULTIMATE Ulysee Nardin Observatory Chronometer Power Reserve U-Boat Captain's Deck Watch c1915.This is the personal watch of the Captain of the German  Submarine U-35 Lothar von Arnauld de la Periere. This unique watch has been awarded to German Kriegsmarine U-Boat Captainleutnant Lothar von Arnauld de la Periere personally by Kaiser Wilhelm II for his bravery during WWI.
(Lothar von Arnauld de la Periere (March 18, 1886 – February 24, 1941), born in
(now Poznań, Poland) and of French descent, was a German  commander during . With 194 ships and 453,716  sunk, he is the most successful submarine ace ever. Нis victories came in the , almost always using his 8.8-cm deck gun. During his career he fired 74 , hitting 39 times.Arnauld de la Perière remained in the German navy () after the war ended. During , he was recalled to active duty as a rear admiral, and was killed in a plane crash near  in 1941 while taking part in secret negotiations with the  government.) On the watch rear case is applied the Pour le merite Order with blue enamel.(The Pour le Mérite, known informally as the Blue Max  was the Kingdom of Prussia's highest order of merit. It was awarded strictly as a recognition of extraordinary personal achievement). The watch comes with an APPRAISAL CERTIFICATE FOR $37000 and with the original Ulysee Nardin Bulletin de marche document issued by the Observatory in Locle. This original dcument has been issed near 40 years after the watch has been manufactured in 1953,but still it was with excellent accuracy to 1/5 from the second!
The watch is still in perfect working order-keeping exact time. The watch is oversize-64mm.White enamel dial with 36h power reserve!Chrome-nickel screw back case in mint condition! The watch has the hisghest A1 grade lever chronometer movement-big Guillaume compensating bymetal balance wheel,Breguet spiral, maximum rubies, precision regulator. The movement is signed and numbered. The watch comes with the full set of two luxury wooden cases, also signed and numbered+the original document.
The outer wooden case is designed to be fixed to the U-Boat cockpit,to eliminate the movement of the watch, which was extremely important for the navigation in the time where there was not GPS.Only 2 seconds delay per week could generate a mistake of  5 kilometers from the certain destination,so the time accuracy was the most important thing in navy navigation.Such important historical watch appears once per livetime!
