It has never been worn. Purchased at the club by me in 2007.Club 33, Royal Street, New Orleans Square, Disneyland (History of Club 33) Mr. Craig was an employee, one of the first employees of Club 33 Disneyland and this is the history he provides for the Club 33.His history with the club is perhaps one of the most extensive I have found. Mr. Craig explains the name as follows:Disneyland was quite an original concept for an amusement park, nothing like it had ever been attempted. The quality and details that Walt established would require extensive funding so investors were solicited from a number of major corporations. The investors would have the opportunity to advertise within the park, sponsor rides and food retails, and promote their products. Walt knew that he would need a place to dine and entertain important guests and associates and he wanted them near his (and Roy's) small apartment above the Pirates of the Caribbean. He also realized that many dignitaries would be visiting the park and a more controlled, secure and elegant environment would be highly beneficial. With this in mind, the small club style restaurant began construction. Sadly, Walt passed away prior to it's completion and the club had no name. When the park was opened, there was a select number of lessee's who were the major sponsors of Disneyland. As the years progressed, some sponsors left, other were added. Here is a list of the Disneyland lessees from 1966-67. Count them and see what you come up with!Hence, the name Club 33.A very exclusive club, requiring a membership, which costs thousands a year! And, than there is a long waiting list for someone to either drop out as a member or pass away. Walt Disney used the club as a place to entertain dignitaries and politicians when they came to visit Disney with their families. You could only purchase Club 33 timepieces if you have an exclusive membership to the club. And, the anniversary Club 33 watches, are even that much more rare, because they are only made for one year!
