Questa volta mettiamo alla Vostra attenzione un superbo pezzo vintage di casa Rolex. Si tratta del tecnico per eccellenza, il 6610 Explorer, nato per resistere alle temperature più basse ed alle condizioni meteorologiche più avverse. Da quanto si può evincere partendo dal numero seriale, questo pezzo nasce nel 56, quando gli orologi di casa Rolex avevano ancora tutto il fascino di quadranti "gilt" e scritte oro; questo pezzo in particolare ha indici e sfere trattate al radio, tuttora attive ed originali, la radioattività si può misurare tranquillamente con un contatore geiger. Fate molta attenzione ora a non confondere inquadranti, qui avrete al polso un orologio con quadrante gilt creato in bagno galvanico, non semplicemente un "grafica oro". Questo è dunque un Quadrante gilt su "2 livelli", gli indici sono, osservandoli da vicino, posizionati più in basso rispetto al piano del quadrante stesso, danno come effetto finale una tridimensionalità che non hanno più gli orologi moderni; il quadro viene arricchito dalla minuteria chiusa e la scritta officially certified chronometer (OCC acronimo usato in ambito collezionistico). It is the state-of-the -art about technician timepieces , the 6610 Explorer, created to withstand the lower temperatures and the most adverse weather conditions. From what can be seen starting from the serial number, this piece was born in 1956, when Rolex watches still had all the charm of GLOSSY GILT dials and gold writings; this piece in particular has indexes and hands treated at the radio, which is still active and original, radioactivity by the way can be easily measured with a Geiger counter. Be very careful now not to get confused among various vintage dials now, here you will have at your wrist a watch with gilt dial created in the plating bath, not just a "golden graphic". This is therefore a gilt dial on "2 levels", the indexes are, watching them closely, lower positioned relative to the dial plan itself, the final effect is a three-dimensionality that no longer have modern watches; the picture is enriched by the chapter ring and the writings "officially certified chronometer" (OCC acronym used in the collecting field).
