First thing is first you may notice this watch is not hallmarked "14k" that is because this is a pre 1900 German made case, the BN, stands for Bonn Germany, and the crown with warrented underneath stands for 14 karat solid gold. That being said this solid 14 karat gold case has been tested for Purity and gold quality and marks at almost 16 karat gold, ranking it very high quality. The gold case with no movement and no Crystal weighs exactly 28 grams making just the gold content worth $662.62. The solid gold case was Weighed with a jewelers scale being accurate up to 100th of a gram, example-(0.00). The case is also spring loaded so the front casing opens on its own when the crown is pushed in like a button. This is a rare side winding American Waltham. Everything including the crystal are/is all original. This also happens to be a very clean and rare movement with only 57,000 in total production, there are only a few left especially in this well-kept condition. This movement only has one tool mark that I have seen during inspection and this watch is fully serviced as of October 10th 2016. The movement has been completely dismantled cleaned thoroughly oiled with specific oils for each part and put back together in the exact way it should be. The last picture shows the specs on this movement. The second hand on the dial is sunk everything is original including the crystal which has very small hairline scratches only a couple, 2 maybe 3, and one small chip approximately 1 millimeter hidden under the bezel. The dial only has one flaw it is a scratch less than one millimeter long above the print of the dial and it is not visible when the crystal is closed. This watch has been kept in a vacuum sealed container locked in a safe with no light for many years and is of museum-quality. This watch being in almost pristine condition should be handled carefully with respect and care. Take a look at the detailed pictures if you would like more please message me if you would like more information please message me. The Buy It Now price will include a 14 karat gold chain and fob. Overall this is a 9.3 out of 10. The money recieved from this watch is being donated to a historical building restoraion project by the local town. As always thank you very much for you're time, happy bidding, and have a nice day. NO RESERVE AND FREE SHIPPING. -Rä Jewelry Prod. & Vintage Watches
