This is a beautiful vintage 1963 Gubelin Ladies Wrist Watch made of 18K Gold, original model number 11D.2044.95. A little research, including an inquiry to Gubelin in Switzerland, where the watch was originally manufactured, revealed that the round movement is the Felsa 22 calibre, 17 jewel, only 13.55 mm in diameter (read more ), one of the smallest movements ever to be manufactured in quantity. I wound it according to the instructions I received from Gueblin (wind gently clockwise), and confirmed that it still runs. I took it to a local jeweler as well, where they calculated the 18K gold content at 30 grams (please see the 750 engraved in the hasp, confirming the gold purity is 18k; Gubelin symbol is engraved there as well). The band is very intricate, "finished in a very expensive way" according to customer service at Gubelin. The original crystal is missing, but an original factory spare crystal is included, as is a copy of the original receipt. I don't pretend to be a watch expert by any means, but I will try and answer any questions as best I can. Please e-mail me with questions, and best of luck with your bid! Condition: Except for the missing crystal, condition of both the watch and the band is excellent; I don't believe it was actually worn very much.
