For your consideration is this ELEGANT LADIES PLATINUM & DIAMOND-ENCRUSTED HAMILTON MODEL 780 WRISTWATCH. I am assisting a Friend settle her Mom’s Estate. She asked me to sell this for her, WITHOUT RESERVE! I’m NOT a “Watch Guy”, but here’s what I think I know about this watch: My jeweler examined, serviced, and appraised this watch for Insurance Purposes at $4,750.00 (written appraisal included), and assured me that it is COMPLETELY GENUINE IN ALL REGARDS. I WILL EXTEND MY RETURN POLICY TO GIVE YOU WHATEVER TIME YOU NEED TO ARRIVE AT THE SAME CONCLUSION. The watch has 32 diamonds (if I counted them correctly) with a TOTAL WEIGHT of OVER 1.50 carats of G-H color, VS clarity Diamonds. (The original Invoice indicates that the diamond weight is 1.54 carats while my jeweler estimates the weight at 1.64 carats.) The watch has a TOTAL WEIGHT of 10.4 grams of Platinum. THIS WATCH RUNS AND KEEPS GREAT TIME, OF COURSE! The watch was purchased in December, 1971 for the then-PRINCELY sum of $733.00 + shipping! (A copy of the Original Invoice is included.) The watch face is ~12 mm in diameter. The following information is included on the movement: Hamilton U.S.A. 780, 17 jewels. There is NO Serial Number on the movement. The backside of the case indicates that it is made of 90% Platinum and 10% Iridium. The crystal is undamaged – NOT EVEN A SCRATCH! The band is ORIGINAL and has a 10k Gold-Filled Double Safety Clasp & Closure with a Safety Chain a well. It will fit a 6” wrist. There is hardly any visible wear on this watch at all!
