Up for auction is a fabulous condition American Watch Company pocket watch from 1866. In all original condition. This watch is the Wm Ellery model 1857. This particular watch is in excellent condition and is running good and keeping good time. The coin silver case is marked 3 ounce and is in fantastic condition and is hand engraved with a bird and a farm scene no doubt from the same period. The American Watch Company signed porcelain dial is flawless. The glass crystal has no scratches and is also in excellent condition. This is a key wind, key set pocket watch. The serial number of this movement puts its manufacture date at 1866. A great gift for the watch or civil war period collector! (See my other auctions)
