This is a vintage 18k yellow gold Angelus Two Register Chronograph. It has a shell cordovan strap with an 18k yellow gold tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There is a solid 18k gold snapback case with the Angelus logo engraved in the center, and the chronograph pushbuttons are rectangular. The 35.7mm diameter solid three-body case, fluted lugs, and angled bezel are polished. The original silver dial has applied gold Arabic numeral hour markers, gold alpha hands, and a center chronograph sweep hand. There is a 60-second minute/one-fifth second scale around the perimeter, and there are twin subsidiary dials, including a constant seconds register at 9 o'clock, and a 45-minute totalizer at 3 o'clock. The 12.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding Angelus in house caliber 215 column wheel chronograph movement is rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic Glucydor balance, and a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring. Angelus manufactured their watches completely in-house; the caliber 215 chronograph movement is one of the most recognized and finest column-wheel chronograph movements.
