Rare example of a high quality solid gold pocket watch made in France from the early 1800's 1830-1840. 45mm in diameter 10mm thick, weight 53.4gramsGenuine with its original yellow gold open face case and bulls eye crystal original dial triple hinged solid gold case is in excellent condition. I see no major dents, or scratches with just slight surface wear for a watch over 175 years old. Watch runs but sticks after a bit. The original oil has dried up causing it to stick. Will require a service and lub if you plan to use it as a daily precision time piece.The watch is key wound and set from the back. Pivots still good, escapement and main pivots are Ruby jeweled.I can provide more details to serious bidders.
