Gio Monaco Women's 778B-F Mandolino Colored Black Dial Musical Diamond Watch Precise quartz movement Diamonds on bezel Black dial with embossed musical notes Luminous hands; Striking colored roman numerals Genuine black Calfskin strap      When Giuseppe and Michele Ascione decided to turn their passion for watches into a company that made fine timepieces, they dedicated their new venture to Guido Monaco, the inventor of musical notes and patron saint of their hometown of Arezzo, Italy. It seemed fitting to the Ascione brothers that there should be a connection between the notation of music and the measurement of time.Giuseppe was a talented designer and his insight and good taste continue to inspire the harmonious forms that make the Gio Monaco collections so unique. When Giuseppe’s artistic talents were combined with those of his brother Michele, a skilled engineer who had a deep knowledge of mechanics, a company was born. The brothers modernized the spelling of their namesake, and in 2002, Guido Monaco became Gio Monaco. Two years later, Giuseppe and Michele moved their fledgling company to its present location in Switzerland and the rest is history. In only seven years, Gio Monaco has introduced over 30 watch collections. Each collection is unique, but all bear the stamp of the Ascione Brothers and their patron saint, Guido Monaco, the inventor of the musical note.
