Vintage Nivada Grenchen "Chronoking" Diver's Chronograph Watch. This authentic vintage timepiece (as you may know) dates back to the late 60s and early 70s. The watch has just returned from a full eye wateringly expensive service. Powered by the extremely desirable Valjoux 726 coloumn wheel movement with all chronometer functions working as they should. In addition, a notable bonus is that the watch comes with its original Nivada stainless steel bracelet which compliments its rarity and value. The watch will arrive sporting a new rubber diver's strap pictured and will be accompanied by an also new thick black leather with white stitch strap also pictured both on and off the watch. With the best will in the world in attempting to describe this, it remains true that like beauty, the condition of a thing is "In the eye of the beholder" and or is subjective. That is why I have included as many pictures as is reasonable for you to make up your own mind about condition. Over fifty years of service has meant a change for its crown and pushers, but then the authorised replacements ensured functionality which I have always regarded as cardinal and primarily important over all else. That apart, I have endevoured hard to keep this watch in my collection as close to its original condition as possible and have refused to have its dial or pointers tampered with or have its case polished. Here presented then is an extremely rare Nivada which will go on becoming more and more rare to acquire representative of not only a happier era but also an ever increasing investment value.
