A rare find; a Swiss made vintage Eberhard & Co., La Chaux-De-Fonds, mechanical wind, double register, monopusher chronograph, mens wristwatch, circa 1940's.  The watch is currently running and seems to function well. The case is 18k rose gold with faceted exotic lugs and a hinged case back. The strap is a brown leather Hadley Roma.  The dial has a silver colored satin finish with black nomenclature and Arabic numerals; it is in beautiful condition as are the matching blued steel hands, that have a hint of iridescence. The crystal is in excellent condition. The dial's two registers are; 30-minute at 3:00 and subsidiary seconds at 9:00. They are nicely spaced out and not crowded towards the center of the dial. This is a "monopusher" chronograph, even though it has dual 'pushers' flanking the crown. All the chronograph operations (Start, Stop, Reset), are designed to be managed through the upper pusher, the lower pusher is actually a locking mechanism, engaged by sliding it towards the crown; it is used to prevent you from accidentally pressing down the upper pusher and resetting the chronograph. This is a unique mechanism, not often seen on chronographs. The case is 40mm, lugs 18mm.  The movement itself is a masterwork.  Known as an Eberhard Calibre 1600, it is essentially a modified Valjoux 65 Column-Wheel chronograph unit, which was commonly used in the 1930's and 40's in both dual and mono-pusher configuration, the later being considerably more rare.  Very rare find cal.  It appears to run well.  We are selling it as is, if you'd like our watchmaker to service it and give you a warranty we can arrange that; contact us for details.Buyer to pay within 24 hours after the end of auction.  Paypal acceptedAbout The Seller: Anaheim Jewelry Brad & Ryan Mugar are collectors and leading experts in the field of high end, fine wrist watches, timepieces, collectibles, diamonds, rare coins, and jewelry.  Brad has 40 years of experience & Ryan 20 years as a worldwide watch trader and are professionals in this field.  Brad & Ryan are members of IWJG (International Watch and Jewelry Guild) and NAWCC (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors) and lifetime members of the ANA (American Numismatic Association).Contact Us: Ryan or Brad Mugar phone #'s (714) 612-6683 or 888-4ROLEXS.
