Up for sale is a very rare English rack and pinion lever Fusee key wind pocket watch. It was made in 1811-1813 by S.I. Tobias and Co. of Liverpool, England, but was probably actually made in the USA after he moved here. It measures 56 mm in diameter and weighs 6.5 ounces! It is in excellent condition and has been recently serviced to run and keep good time.Serviced: It was recently serviced on December 1st 2016: it was fully dissembled, cleaned, oiled and adjusted to keep good time.Movement: The rack and pinion lever fusee key wind movement is in great condition. The movement has beautiful gilt, 6 jewels, and a diamond end stone. It has a working stop/start lever and has serial #2848. This movement is amazing and it is all original. I even think the balance staff is the original and the pivots look great. This is one of my favorite movement. It runs like no other!Dial: The original dial is in very good condition and has a rare 15 second dial. The dial just has a small flake at the center hole. It has a nice glass crystal.Case: The sterling silver Hunter's case is in great condition, and is all original American made. This is a very heavy case and it looks great.
