Here's a legend that is rarely sighted in vintage watch circles...and even more rarely found in this excellent condition. Red, black, magnificent: We at VWC are proud to introduce the Hamilton Chronomatic Countdown GMT, a 1960s beast. It's huge, 48mm wide, excluding the crowns.  Yes, five of them, controlling everything from the setting of time (natch) to rotate 24-hour and time-zone bezels internally. 52mm from lug to lug...this is no Planet Ocean wannabe. This is the progenitor of the modern megawatch. The brushed satin solid stainless steel case is in excellent condition, with just a few blemishes here and there, and one larger scratch. The red and blue color-coded crowns are excellent, with a tiny bit of chipping loss, nothing major and certainly nothing that diminishes the immense appeal of this watch. The 17-jewel automatic movement is keeping excellent time. On a JB Champion brick-link bracelet that will fit a 7.5 inch wrist. Hamilton collectors, this watch doesn't come around often. We know...we've searched for years! Strap it on. You will know nirvana.
