Up for sale today is my F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu. As you probably know, Journe produces, at most, several hundred a year due to the complicated dial and case making process and there are long waiting lists to get this watch.   Unlike most other high end watch manufacturers, Journe produces nearly everything, including the unique tantalum case (Tantalum is 5x as hard as Platinum - known for its difficulty to work with, quickly wearing out tools.  The Chrono Bleu is perhaps best known for its stunning blue chrome lacquered dial (it truly pops in direct light - see pic), and solid 18k gold manual winding movement.  It has a unique presence in any collector's lineup - put it on the included Cognac strap for the ultimate Summer watch, or keep it on the blue strap to go with a suit, or business casual wear.  Famous collectors include JJ Redick, Kevin Rose, & William Massena (featured in each of their Hodinkee Talking Watches episodes) as well as Vladimir Putin (you may not like his politics, but the man knows his timepieces).  The uniqueness of materials & design, ridiculous movement, rising prices, and limited availability are making the Chrono Bleu a cult classic for those in the know.I am the original owner of this watch and purchased it directly from an authorized F.P. Journe retailer in Bal Harbour in July 2015. It has a 2 year warranty on it so you're covered until July 2017, though I've never had any problem with it.  The Chrono Bleu was launched with MSRP of around $19,600, before bumping to $20,900, and now $22,900 (what I paid), as the manufacturing is a capital intensive process.  As you've probably heard, the dials on these are very difficult to manufacture, with only 1 out of 7 being accepted - something Francois Paul Journe is actually happy about, since it used to be 1 out of 20.  The double barrel movement is gorgeous, and contributes to a 56 hour power reserve.  Beautiful geneva striping, and hand polished anglage of the solid gold movement round out this package. My Chrono Bleu has probably been worn around 20x total (seriously - that's it).  The watch is in near mint condition. There is a small, barely noticeable mark on the tantalum case at 12:30 (see pics - you can hardly make it out), but it's overall in excellent condition.    This purchase includes the complete original package - everything. It comes with the instructions, boxes, warranty certificate, unopened microfiber cloth, original quick release blue strap, and honey alligator strap (shorter length, but still wears fine).  Shipping is via UPS or Fedex Overnight with Signed Delivery & full Insurance all included in my price. You're getting exactly what is described and I offer a full refund in the event you feel otherwise.  Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll give a prompt, thorough response.  Only selling because I have a pending baby on the way.  Thanks for looking!
