Elegance embodied by this Chorongraphe Suisse Antimagnétique gold vintage chronograph. Stunning on and off the wrist, this watch seems to generate as much interest from friends (who am I kidding, I have no friends with the exception of my, well, nope - no friends, I'm a zero) and strangers (now we're talking) as any watch I've ever worn. It is in good condition - that's not a term of art but a layman's description of a watch made in the 1950s. It keeps time well and all functions are in proper working order. HOWEVER, it has yet to build a swimming pool of unicorn bones in my back (or front) yard or recreate the magic of season one of True Detective with "Dubs" and "Matty May" (Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey for those NOT named the unofficial and unrecognized ombudsman of the fan club (composite in nature though careful to recognize individuality of each the high tone scale levels of each of the aforementioned mates of mine which is NOT creepy despite what their lawyers have said). LRH and Sea Org 4ever!!! Whew, sorry. The demon has passed. The band, as with same in all other of my listings, is included and will be new, unworn and top notch. It is quite frustrating to purchase a fantastic vintage watch pictured with a perfectly matched and hand crafted band/strap only to take delivery of the lovely watch with a filthy, tainted, roughed up extra medium awful strap that has an odor equally as rancorous. The horror. But NOPE, not here, not on my watch (wow, that was horrible, but I'm leaving it be and just going to, let it sit there). You will get a choice of 1 out of 3 unworn watch straps that were purchased from one or more reputable, identifiable, respectable and superrific online retaliers who may also may have a brick and mortar element to the business. No janky straps or bands. This Chronographe Suisse vintage chronograph (montre ancienne si vous voulez) is purchased as is and I do not accept returns as I am not in the business of selling watches for a living or for profit. I purchased this watch from a well known and respected vintage watch dealer online and, along with all other watches I have listed, has been verified authentic by those qualified to do so, which although I am continental and have impeccable taste in pretty much everything, I am not trained in the arts of watchmaking and/or jewelry/watch shake down and do not intend or suggest to hold myself out as anything of the sort. I am not a retailer, flipper, wholesaler but a sailor and a wanna be collector who is listing an overwhelming majority of the his most treasured vintage chronographs in an effort to fund a "grail" vintage chronograph. This Chronographe Suisse has been a great watch to own and while I can't tell you that you like it - or can I? - you should. Like it even if you don't buy it. That's not a request for a myspace vote or whatever, it's more of a karmic learning to live together Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen type of liking. If you only operate in pairs or other multiple number groupings, I'm open to trying to sort out a deal that is mutually beneficial, mutually beneficial and welcome a message to further such a program.The punishingly sad and humiliating photos were taken by me, but let them not obscure the truth; as with all listings, each photo is of the actual watch for sale and not stock photo or one from a Radio Shack catalog.
