Offered for auction this rare find: the Record Watch Co. Datofix, a manual-wind men's Moon phase Triple-date wristwatch, in a solid 18K rose-gold case, manufactured in 1940's. The classic-shaped 18K rose-gold case with nicely lapidated lugs is full 35mm size, and has no deep dents, scratches, personal inscriptions or any kind of damage. The watch sports an unique and beautiful original complicated dial with Moon phases at 12 o'clock, second's sub-dial at "6" o'clock, weekdays at "9" and months at "3", applied gold Arabic hour numerals and dots, a printed black minutes track and an outer blue date chapter.
This unique distinctive dial layout is inherited for the in-house hand- built Record Watch Co. 106C caliber movement, that has been used also in some high-end watches. This caliber was developed by Record Watch Co back in 1940's. The movement is good working and keeping time, with all the complications operating properly. The watch comes on a nice crocodile leather band, ready to wear and enjoy and to grace your vintage watches collection, This highly collectible scarce timepiece would be an excellent financial investment, always raising its value.
