For sale is an antique circa 1869-1899 E. Howard Boston Seris V (5) hunting case pocket watch in fancy 18k solid gold hunting case. This is an original signed Howard case with beautiful engravings on the front and back and a shield where initials can be engraved. The front cover opens properly to 90 degrees. The watch features a glass crystal, original blued steel umbrella hands, enamel dial (which has cracks that were repaired at some point), a stem wind/stem set movement which also can be key wound/key set. This is a 16size watch (marked "L"), with 15 jewels and serial number 55672. A total of 21,500 were made but of course in this case and this movement probably just a few. It is a rare watch!Im not sure when the watch was last serviced. Im selling it on consignment so even though we are a watch repair shop we have to sell some items as we get them. I did test it and it is in good running condition and keeping good time. The dial has some flaws but other than that the watch is really nice. Free shipping worldwide. Thanks for looking.
