EXQUISITELY RARE – This watch was purchased new/never issued and has never been worn.  I ordered this watch in the early 1980’s directly from a company in Germany selling Original German Military Equipment. This model is the German WWII Air Force Pilot’s Chronometer “Lemania” with stop watch, continuous second and 30-minute counter, black dial with bright illumination for night reading, shock-waterproof, stainless steel case, 25 jewels.  Year of construction: 1944/45.  There were no more brought to action, therefore brand new, oiled and inspected because of the long rest. The pictures are of the actual watch you are bidding on! Changes in tone of the watch and background are due to the angle of the lighting.  Notice the detail in the pictures showing the difference in time to validate its perfect working order.  eBay is not compatible with video upload. Email me if you wish to receive a copy of the video showing the hand movement.I contacted Heritage Auctions this year as I was interested in consigning this watch with them.   Heritage Auctions is the largest collectibles auctioneer and third largest auction house in the world, as well as the largest auction house founded in the US. They are the undisputed leader in their field.  Here is the reply I received from them after submitting an overview and pictures for their review.  ********************************************Thanks for the images and info. The 14k gold Omega would have an auction estimate of $2000 to $2500. The refinished dial and name engraved on the back keep value down a bit. As for the Lemania it would be presented at auction estimated at $1500 to $2000. If there is an interest in having them in a sale I would be glad to assist. Our May NYC signature watch auction is closed for consignments but I am already taking watches in for the October auction. Best regards,Jim Wolf James WolfDirector of Watches & Fine TimepiecesHERITAGE AUCTIONS214-409-1659 | 877-HERITAGE (437-4824) | Fax: 214-409-26593500 Maple Ave. 17th Floor, Dallas TX 75219**********************************************This watch has been stored in a case in a smoke-free, climate controlled home.  As noted with many of my other post, I am intentionally downsizing my collections.  This is one item that I hesitated to post, but it is time for someone else to enjoy this rare watch.
