I am the original owner & discerning collector of timepieces. This T46 Tool watch was worn by me only a very fussy collector of man toys that has many other watch’s to choose from hence rarely worn out side of my home due to the nature of my work. Condition is 9.9/10 & comes with all Boxes plus all cardboard outer boxes, plus other little extras like leather case & the like. Watch comes with: Leather Case, and Leather strap attached to the watch with the engraved buckle ready to enjoy in 9.9/10 condition. T46 V2 (variant 2) Bronze Tool Watch w/ ETA 2824-2 Movement decorated movement USD$2 195 + shipping usd$75 = usd$2 270 Or equating to aud$3045 + aud$105 for the shipping = au$3 150, plus options of USD$100 or aud$140 decorated ETA = USD$2 295 from Dealer/ Maker so an extra aud$140 = au$3 290 just for the actual watch.Then there is the Plus shipping & import taxes such as GST & duties & the like when getting a unit such as this into Australia so there for ~ in Australian Dollar au$3400, plus the other landed costs and fees so a very large price indeed well over the au$4 000 mark THUS making this an awesome buy to say the least. THE MODEL – The V2 represents a subtly updated T46, The Variant 2. As before, the “T” indicates it is the TOOL WATCH and the 46 indicates the case size. The case has grown slightly to 46.3mm vs 46.0mm; the height remains the same at 13.0mm. The two-piece case is still closed with a miniature bolt circle that has been slightly expanded to permit an axial “O” ring gasket and larger engraving. All the fasteners are proprietary, enhancing the unique look of the watch. The case is machined on a CNC lathe and milled from a solid bar stock. The lug pockets holding the strap have been slightly enlarged and are internal to the case. The result is a reduced foot print on the wrist, making an otherwise large 46.3mm case appear trim and compact. The back permits viewing of the movement and rotor through a crystal window. This allows you to see the heart of the watch. Upgraded to Decorated ETA 2824-2 MovementUPGRADE T46 MOVEMENT – This option is to the movement. The decorative enhancements include heat blued screws, a rotor with the Cotes de Geneva (Geneva Stripes), and more highly polished places. Just an observation: It is rare that this upgrade is made for any T46, it is equally rare that it is NOT made with any purchase made in person at the watch makers shop in the USA. The visual appeal for this seemingly simple enhancement is captivating so “for the extra USD$100 I just went for it. I actually purchased 2 of these beauties so this is the 2nd unit that is in as good as new condition as barley worn at, my 1st unit was also a 9.8/10 in its condition and the guy that bought it of me is totally in Love with it and his 100% positive feedback is now history on my feedback score for those that want to read about his great experiencing dealing with a straight up guy like my good self.This Watch comes with: Leather Case, and one leather strap attached to the instrument and a cardboard packing sleeve.We can talk about other accessories & spares I have such as 1 X UN worn rubber strap with its own unique deployment clasp, I also several other leather UN worn straps, buckles & Stainless Steel Deployment Clasp’s &normally sell at the maker for us$25 each. The watch comes with a kit for trimming band to fit your wrist.Espresso – Double Horween Dublin Leather Strap XL 7-0″- 9-0″us$150.00–us$195.00Double Horween Leather – That is right. This strap is Horween inside and out. It is not unusual to line the strap with a less expensive leather, This strap is hand stitched in the USA by Stone Creek Straps. If you do not think this is the finest strap for your money I will eat my hate. Horween leather is tanned in Chicago the plant it looks pretty much like it did in 1905 when it opened. The Dublin leather is impregnated with oils and waxes (less than the Chromexcell) that give it a rich look that looks even better with wear. The standard buckle is brushed stainless steel with a screw in pin and engraved with the Berkbinder & Brown logo. Optional Buckles and Clasps available from me for a little bit of different look just ask me regarding the extra cost. The 903 Bronze over time will take on a rich patina that will enhance the character of the case, just as the 954 Bronze did.THE MOVEMENT – is an automatic (self-winding) ETA 2824-2 and the date is @4:00. It is Swiss, made with 25 jewels and Incabloc Novodiac shock protection. This movement is a workhorse and the movement of choice in many luxury watches selling at a much higher price point. The daily rate tolerance for the watch is +/- 12-15 seconds a day. While you may have a daily rate less than this, this tolerance is what ETA has established.THE WATER RESISTANCE – 10ATM (100 meters) or 333 feet.THE DIAL – is matte black with luminous Arabic numerals, the T46 model designation and the Berkbinder & Brown logo in red. It was designed with a simple straight forward look making the dial easy to read.THE HANDS – are simple with luminescent treatment for easy reading in low light environments.THE SWEEP HAND – is prominent and readable.THE CROWN – is a proprietary screw down type, the logo is raised on the top and is located at 4:00. The crown is larger allowing easy manipulation. The offset at 4:00 will not create any discomfort or interfere with the back of the wrist.THE CRYSTALS – are a thick durable 3mm Sapphire Glass for the face and 2mm Sapphire Glass for the exhibition back, allowing full view of the movement.THE BEZEL SCREWS – are a proprietary and have a 6 pointed socket, made from 316 stainless steel for all cases. The screws protect the crystal and add to the aesthetic of the watch.THE STRAP – brown Horween Chromexcell strap with white stitching. The buckle is brushed stainless steel with a machined prong and screw in pin. The strap is held in place by spring bars.A truly inspired design by a watch guy Ted Brown he gives the timepiece that lug-less look I liked along with its likeness to 22 carat gold plus it being a solid block of metal ( with no coating ) I liked the dial & design so much I had to own 2 of these Tools. These were made in very limited Numbers by this awesome boutique watch company that pushes the limits on material & case design.
