Up for auction this antique ULYSSE NARDIN Locle Solid 18k Yellow Gold Pocket Watch. Made in Switzerland. Circa 1880’sMovement: Manual-key winding movement, gold tone, 13 jewels, bimetallic screw balance, Breguet hairspring, signed “Ulysse Nardin Fabnt. Locle”, and marked with serial number: 4500.Dial: White porcelain. Black Roman hour numerals. Outer minute chapter. Subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. Complete set of blued steel Light Spade hands. Signed “Ulysse Nardin Locle ". Case: Solid 18k yellow gold openface. Decorated with geometric and line patterns on bezel and sides. Crown and pendant bow at 12 o’clock. Back showing Floral decoration, two blank emblems, and placed on them, and Eagle. Inside, there is a dustproof cover, signed, showing the serial number “4500”, and some movement features. Back and dustproof covers signed, and showing serial number, and gold and swiss hallmarks.Dimension: 42 milimeters diameter.Gold Weight (excluding movement, dial and crystal): around 35 grams (1.23 oz)Condition: Movement: very good and working properly (recently serviced by professional watchmaker). Dial: good overall, complete and readable, but showing some hairlines (please check the larger photographs for details). Case: very good overall condition. Just some scratches and small marks. But the condition of the ornament is very good, with minor faded gold sections. Back cover and hinges working properly. To finish, please check that front crystal shows a small crack at 9 o’clock, on the edge.
