Here's a rare beauty. A brand that has now developed a cult following among horological nerds, Wakmann. This particular chronograph dates back to the late 1960's and is powered by a Valjoux 7733 movement. The highlight of this particular piece is the dial which has developed a rare are sought after tropical patina.Wakmann was founded New York in 1946, due to heavy import duties in the U.S. Wakmann partnered with Breitling to import almost complete watches that were then sold under the Wakmann name. Hence why Breitling and Wakmann names are so intertwined today. Wakmann supplied the U.S. Armed Forces and was later fully absorbed by Breitling.The case measures 36mm excluding the crown and wears very well.
